Welcome to Chapter 2!
In this chapter, we will discuss the California Department of Real Estate in detail, from the Commissioner and Commission members, to the DRE's responsibilities and authority within the State of California. Once we've covered these topics, we will work our way through the licensing requirements for original salesperson and broker licenses, the educational requirements for license candidates, continuing education mandates, and other license information. From there, we will move on to license law violations and the enforcement of real estate law, and then end this Chapter with a brief discussion of the Real Estate General Fund and the Recovery Account in California.
